While many companies may share some common workflow processes, models, and production goals, they must implement internal strategies that best fit their market position, staff ability, and leadership capacity. Each team is comprised of unique individuals from a variety of backgrounds and possessing a distinct array of skills and weaknesses.
Productive workflow strategies should leverage those strengths and ensure coverage for any deficiencies. My goal is to design and build tools that best accomplish those objectives. Custom-built workflow solutions are a force multiplier, which, when properly implemented, makes them a profit multiplier.
My educational background is in Chemistry and Mathematics, and my professional experience has been focused on Retirement Plan Administration and Consulting, but I have always had a passion for building new tools to streamline my own workflow. I find the tools, applications, and inter-app connections to be far more interesting than the hands-on work itself.
While the majority of my undertakings in the past were small, non-flashy one-off scripts built to accomplish simple, straightforward tasks, I do have a couple of more comprehensive projects built for larger purposes. My time with Epicodus will no doubt also help to expand this section.
